About Me & My Blog

Many times one’s perspective or appearance of their financial health is drastically different from one’s reality.  When I filled out my first Net Worth Analysis over 10 years ago, it became clear that I had a looong way to go to become rich.

Welcome to Net Worth Millionaire (previously known as Money Goggle$).  I created Net Worth Millionaire to provide a clear path to financial success.  I will share with you my Net Worth Millionaire Plan, as well as ideas and decisions my wife and I have made to increase our Net Worth.  Having a plan, making good personal financial decisions and being on the same page allowed us to increase our Net Worth by $1,000,000 in the first 10 years of our marriage.

Here’s a little history:

I have been fascinated with money and personal finance all of my life.  I started working at a very young age by cutting lawns and delivering newspapers in my neighborhood.  This was hard work but I loved payday.  I had my own money and I could make my own choices, like riding my bike to 7-11 and getting a Slurpee.  I felt free!!!

My name is Sean.  I am a college swimming coach and a small business owner with an undergraduate business degree and a MBA.  I am a natural saver but I like to spend money hanging out with my family and friends, relaxing and going on vacation.  My family’s motto is “We Work To Challenge Ourselves And To Make Money So That We Can Create More Money And Enjoy Life.”

I stress out if I waste money when I could have saved some.  I do not like to waste a penny but I like to have a good time and I enjoy the freedom that comes along with money in the bank now and in the future.

My wife and I did not come from money.  We had parents who worked hard to provide us with the best childhood.  To put things into perspective, my first full-time job, post college, paid only $12,000 (my wife earned $30,000-I didn’t meet her until four years later).

What keeps me grounded is having a plan, being intentional (and automatic) with my money and watching my money grow $$$$.  I have researched, analyzed and calculated what seems like almost every personal finance decision that one would come across from their early 20s to nearing retirement.

The plan and ideas shared on Net Worth Millionaire have helped my wife and I tackle many of life’s decisions such as building our careers, buying cars and homes, remodeling and maintaining homes and understanding/learning about the finances needed to raise our children.

Also, in the last decade, we have dealt with many difficult financial situations including the housing crash, the stock market crash and Super Storm Sandy and I know many of you have too.  Fortunately, we came out ahead but that was not by luck or coincidence.  It was the result of hard work, planning wisely, increasing our net worth, negotiating often, avoiding debt (except home) and other money traps, as well as making good day-to-day financial decisions.

I am starting this journey to help and inspire those who want to change their financial life.

If you are ready, then “Let’s Rock Your Finances!”
